Ask a student High School if they intend to attend college after graduation and it is likely that many will say: "Yes." Ask why, and youÂ'll get the same old tired answers repetitions. "To learn a profession to have a career, if I can get a job that makes so much money to work hard donÂ't "or two" for the party and meet lots of girls boys (or hot) "" To learn more and make the world a better place. "For the purposes of this section, we do not speak about students who made the last two statements.
The cold reality is that all secondary students are made to go College. Others do not want to go for what every reason. In If yes, why do we as parents go into debt with student loans and force our children to do something wrong or do not want to do. Users who do not have parents to pay for college amass huge piles of student debt in a 4-year degree that society says they should be. For some, they will take a decade or more to pay these debts. Others will be ruined financially, often for life, for these debts.
There are many blue collar workers in the workplace today do much better than a person with a 4-year degree in college. The most visible and most is that these blue collar workers are generally much happier in their career choices for graduates in 4 years.
How is this possible? Easy. Willingly or bad, they got skills necessary to specialize in a sector where workers are paid a premium. Many went to vocational school to learn their business. Another went to training schools third party.
Ask yourself this question, how many people you know with 4 or more years of college who are working in a field they were actually in your notes? I think not much. I know about 2 dozen people personally who have 4 or more years of college, and only 3 of them actually work in areas that have graduated in
You see, this country has a growing need for skilled trades, such as:
- Welders
- Installers
- Nurses and nurses – and nothing in the medical field
- Electricians
- Plumbers
- Auto Mechanics
- Machinist
- Machine operators
- electrical engineers
- HVAC Technicians
- and many other
The needs of these skilled workers will only grow in years to come.
Also, ask yourself if it's the last time you heard discuss their work in air conditioning type is outsourced overseas? Many of these offices, and almost all are evidence of recession and outsourcing.
It is not uncommon for people with skills to start over to make 40 thousand dollars in its first year with full benefits. And it just keeps getting better as the spiral of wages and benefits. Demand is strong. Here in the southern United States where I live, Companies HVAC CanÂ't find enough trained technicians. Some companies have resorted to offering $ 1000 sign on bonus and a car company to its employees.
Not force our children into something that is not good for them. I know most of us want the best for our children, but forcing them to school in 4 years to graduate will never use is not the best way for them. Vocational School and can often end in 2 years or less and in the real world, doubling their income over 4 years as a graduate will.
