Is it okay to let the baby sleep in a bed-side yard instead of a crib for the first month?
My husband and I bought a play yard with a built in cabinet. We decided not to buy a crib real, as they already have. We have a manger but we expect to set this up, because our place is so small.
Yes, it's good as long as no large blankets, animals stuffed pillows or anything else that the baby can choke. My two children were sleeping in N PACK til you play in a toddler bed. Of course, to get old enough to hold its head up or roll in a sense, the crib should be removed because they may fall. After that, I can sleep in the court or a cradle. Good luck!
