What we properly call a piece of antique jewelry – Antique, vintage or used?
Antique is a term used when the jewels or any other device is at least a hundred years.
So, necklaces or earrings, etc., made before 1909 should be named and classified as antiques.
Victorian jewelry is classified as antiques. Queen Victoria lived from 1819 to 1901. Edwardian jewelry is old now. Edward V11 lived from 1841 to 1910 a short reign (1901 to 1910), but you will see marked Edwardian jewelry.
The Vintage period is not as well defined. Some sources say that an element called the harvest is less than 20 years and some need 25 years as the harvest period. As for this year in real terms – ie items manufactured before 1989 or 1984, respectively.
Little difficult for such an exact date of the facts, For example, a pin, to exercise real manufacturing. Therefore, many people keep only those items which date from the seventies that harvest. But time and eighties, is now as it is in the classification of the harvest.
This means that second-hand or Used items are built in the eighties to the present days. No problem with that date, but is one of the words most underused.
This logically leads to problems for both the buyer and seller in the Internet because:
1. The terms classification are not fully understood by many. Especially if hand harvesting and the second means the same thing for = Used or new elements. (We asked 10 people aged between 15 and 18 years what they mean by "vintage" 8 of those people said second hand or used)
2. Can not identify the year of manufacture, as many pieces of jewelry and other items were manufactured for decades.
3. Fashion has dictated the replication of a style of jewelry, many years after the original production. Therefore, the payback and style may be used.
4. Aging techniques have been applied to new elements to make them appear older they really are. Sometimes, in order to deceive and obtain a higher price when sold, rather than antiques.
5. Counterfeiting – Jewelry made to look like vintage jewelry prices high major designers. Trifari and Haskell have been subjected to this, Like many jewelry makers and other manufacturers.
6. Vintage is now a buzzword, but use the second hand or not! More people use the word vintage in research on the Internet that the term second-hand. So if you're advertising a jewel older to obtain their opinion whether she is described as vintage and not used.
Some items have a tag sale or acceptable used books, but not as jewelry or clothing. Here the challenge is for both the buyer may actually be looking for something that is second hand and the dealer who sells antiques, vintage or used.
As mentioned before the harvest period is not always understood and fashion way dictates what is available for new stores and warehouses. Many are now searching the Internet for a certain piece of jewelry or style of clothes you can no longer manufactured – but has been in recent years.

How to clean / disinfect Vintage (hand), shoes?
What products can be used (or household disinfectant sprays, etc.) to clean your shoes? Vintage footwear, leather and some are delicate, etc. Is there a spray disinfectant to buy shoes? And I do would not use anything that would smell of disinfectant for hospital use in my shoes. And I do not want anyone to respond with "shoes secondhand EW gross', because frankly I am concerned, they're awesome.
Try a little bleach in the washer. Air dry or hang line in the sun.
