About two, maybe a little later, parents are often faced with the task of transition your child from crib to bed.

I'll give you some tips to help you make this adjustment successfully with his own son. But before that, we must begin with a brief analysis of why their child may resist the change. It's not complicated. All people tend to fight against change. Once you are comfortable with something, change is very desirable. Toddlers tend to behave similarly. Young children are people too!

The People will accept change when:

1. Action Age / behavior is inferior to another;

2. The old behavior or action is not available again, and again is the best solution;

3. Change is literally thrust upon them, and finally by becoming a new habit.

Clearly, the number 1 is the preferred choice for minor children, because they create a disturbance. Imagine what would happen if you give your child a biscuit with chocolate chips for dessert instead of a piece of celery! That's what I mean a change to have a child in his. So to get a child to go to bed toddler necessary for the child to associate a lot of positive attributes to the new bed.

In the case of transition from crib to bed, options 2 and 3 above are really the same thing. You remove the option Age removing the cradle, but you do it without the consent of the child. This may lead to your child becomes angry, but finally he or she receives on the issue, and a new model is established.

How can parents create a situation where your child really wants to change a bed? Here are several things you can try:

1) Take your child's bed. If you can get your child or to choose his own bed, then you have more chance the child will really enjoy your new bed. People tend not to want to buy things they hate, right?

2) Place the new bed in the bedroom his son. Do not take the crib immediately. Just out of bed again, and treat it like it is another piece of furniture. Not even to mention that the cradle will be deleted without But because your child actually may want to sleep in my bed again without having to force it. If you come to the point of transition and facing enormous resistance, then you can remove only the cradle by surprise. But do not rush this step.

3) Take your child to bed with you and sit or lie down together to play quiet games. You can use wooden puzzles and games, children, things are quiet you do. Read books together in bed. Cuddle together. Tickle your child in a state of laughter. The key is to do things that are fun fun for these feelings which must be "anchored" in bed. Anchoring is something that I teach in my talk with young children audio course, all parents should consider to deal with difficult children.

4) Tell your child that he or she have a choice about where to sleep at night or at nap time. Then do something that makes the bed seem more appealing. For example, you can give your child a "big boy / girl pillow" if you sleep in a bed again. It must remain an option yet. Its goal is to bring your child to choose their own bed.

If these tips do not work for you he might have to take the crib away from everything. But it is necessary to accelerate the process.

By Finally, if you must remove the cradle without the agreement of your child, you can always say that breaks the cradle. It worked very well for my wife and I with our first daughter. We had to prepare the room for our new baby and our daughter has moved into a new room. We told him it was broken, and put the mattress of a crib age of bed in the back of his new room. She slept on it for a while, but finally went to bed on their own.

What is the best time to remove the child from cradle to toddler bed?

My son is 2 1 / 2 and has never left his birthplace for the time. Only recently bought a cot, but have not put together yet. I wonder if he is ready for this? How do you know when?

I would like to leave as long as possible – if not rise from his bed was lucky – when it moves, it could start getting out of bed when you wake up. I moved my daughter when I was about 3 – and only because he had become too big for her crib. Then told him to call me in the morning as usual and thankfully she has not left the bed – I do not think has understood that it was an option. Moving a child to a bed is not a sign that they are advanced or smart or mature – You only really need when moving his crib is too small – children sleep well, because they feel safe. If you still have a little nap can try to put it on the bed nap or at least make story time in bed to gradually get used to it – not force otherwise it can disrupt your sleep happy Good luck, skipper
