During the long hot days of July and August, there's nothing more refreshing as a slice of fresh watermelon. This a summer treat their young and old. The watermelon is a fruit whose culture is ancient dates from prehistoric times, almost in Mediterranean and North Africa. Today, watermelon culture remains a favorite among gardeners. Although watermelons are not particularly difficult to grow fruit, there are certain basics that every gardener must know how to produce better crops of watermelon as possible.

Normally, plants watermelon should not be closer to a plant for every three meters, although may need more space for varieties that produce large melons.
If you decide to start your seeds of watermelon in the garden, planting in hills is recommended. Plant two or three seeds in a mound of earth, and once the plants are a couple of inches tall, thin to one plant per hill.
The seedlings of watermelon in hand is quite easy, and once they do the plant will grow rapidly. The hardest part of the watermelon is to learn to know when crops. To judge a ripe watermelon is one thing that has confused the gardeners for centuries. There are several tips for measuring the maturity a result claimed. Some say you should strike or to call the fruit and hear the sound.
