Ok, most of us know the routine. You bring a new kitten or puppy at home and pray that they get along well with others pets at home. And unfortunately, many times it seems, just is not. But you may be surprised by what has actually can help your new pet get along with your other pet. It's really easy and I hope This article will help you achieve that goal.
First and foremost you must realize that animals like cats and dogs are naturally protective around other animals. Especially around others who do not know. Yes, there is the puppy that just wants to play with a cat, but more often than not find that the real setbacks.
So here's the scenario: You already have a puppy or kitten home and bring home a new pet (and others) or possibly to domestic, both at the same time. (This is exactly what I have done many times!)
How can you long and perhaps even learn to love each other? Here are some basic steps:
1 … Make sure not to let them share a plate of food or place their dishes together. Keep these separate from each other. There is nothing worse than two animals that feel threatened by other because of the food. So, make sure it's the first thing to do!
2 … DO I do not ever act nervous around them when they are together. They will look at this subject and provoke new tensions between them. If, instead of acting like you expect to be good at all yes then this will be an immense help!
3 … Of course when they begin to fight that scream and shout NO to them. This will only cause further tension and generally each act as their new attacks.
4 … Here is the great secret that works most of the time! – LET Fight them! Yes I said that right – "Let's Fight !"… This is all part of the process that almost always occur. We therefore expect that initially will happen. One Either leave at the end as the boss. It's just the way it is relationships between animals. So do not be afraid to let them learn to know each other.
Now read # 4 again, but understand something very important. I am NOT suggesting that we simply let combat and the risk of killing the other. Not a good idea. It is time for having them separate if it becomes too severe. But if this happens and you walk, make sure you do not yell and scream against themselves. Remember that this struggle is the natural process and most of the time that must occur if Once we all we hear. I know that sounds strange, but true in my experience!
Similarly, you should be aware that there are times where nothing works and the two animals that do not always agree. For this reason, you should be careful in choosing both a dog and a cat who did not alpha (dominant) personalities. It is a recipe for disaster! However, by carefully selecting the two animals, then you should have no problem to help them get along!
