The plastic toys seems to be the most popular choice for consumers these days when store shelves are full of them. Maybe he is time to consider alternatives. There are many natural and creative "toys" which can be found at home and nature.
Some Alternatives to toxic toys, sometimes noisy plastic that you and your children can enjoy more:
1. Young children love to imitate what we do. Have you noticed how they like to play in the cupboards and explore what is there? Why not give them a wardrobe and a drawer in the kitchen complete with a spoon Wood, colander, wooden bowl, pot, lid, a rolling pin, towel, washcloth, broom, shovel and a cloth bag. My son spent a year playing both in time and space that I always put in a few surprises to enjoy.
2. Make a drum or other instrument. You can use a recycling container with a lid (yogurt, ice cream) and have actually been a drum or create an all-natural materials. Drum an excellent way for children to communicate with your heart and soothe them well. You can start a drum circle with your friends, your family and your neighbors. Children can be instruments of sticks that can decorate and create music. With rolls of tissue paper and fill with dried beans and cover with decoration recycled paper … you have a shaker!
3. Build a tent of sheets, blankets or cloth. Well, that all children should be all time favorite! Drape them anywhere inside or outside and have your place Space.
4. Rocks, seeds, and bats are very abundant. Construction, jewelry making, stacking, creative play and imaginative in many ways. And do not afraid to allow children to return. Relax and enjoy yourself even more.
5. Recycled clothes can be removed and used to make a particular form of a doll. This is an excellent opportunity for the child to recognize his creative ability by themselves or share time with a parent and it is very special.
6. Play silks are a great way to soften the atmosphere of the playground. Silk can be used for imaginative play and dress. Speaking of dressing …
7. A dress up in the basket. Fill a basket with scarves, necklaces, pieces of fabric, all other unique discoveries. Dress can help broaden the imagination of children who become the most amazing adventure plush for a small child. Use some padding on the head. You can use a nest egg or milkweed down. Then make the arms and legs nodes.
9. Write a book. Whatever the topic of interest, creating a book is a fun way to be creative and have a fun experience.
10. Cultivation of a garden can be played. They dig into the ground and select what you want from the factory. Children love to eat food they grow themselves. What a great way for children to be empowered by growing their own food.
There are many natural and creative ideas that come to mind. I realize that their moments where you want to buy a toy or a gift. You could consider trying one of their natural toy manufacturers or local companies such as Magic Cabin, Nova Naturals and mother owned small businesses to alternative sound to plastic toys. Let your imagination and creativity of children to enjoy the game is good for body, soul and spirit. Have fun!

What do you recommend? Flannel blankets or receiving?
I'm looking for small blankets, and there are a variety of fleece and flannel. However, the veil usually comes with one. I need advice, do you think I should buy a blanket or fleece blankets receiving all flannel? Keep in mind the comfort of the baby, of course! 
I live in West Virginia and I am scheduled for mid July. It will be quite warm.
I loved the covers of flannel diapers because they let you wrap Nice and tight has been the key to get my newborn to sleep. But I also liked fleece blankets to keep warm while sitting in his chair, playing on the floor or when we travel in the cold. Blankets polar a multitude of use during tummy time … are soft in the face. I would say a little of both.
