My first experience with the bikers arrived in 2002 on my first visit to Dalat. "I was walking down the street when a man driving a motorcycle was approached me. She asked me if I was interested in taking a tour of the Dalat area. I asked him what was going do and ran a list of places that tourists interested in seeing: the madhouse, the City of chicken (the house of a local tribe montanyard) Prenn Datanla and waterfalls, old colonial houses of the period of France, and market Dalat Truc Lam Monastery Tuyen Lam Lake.
When the first tourists began arriving in Dalat in the 1990s, the guidelines were not known as motorists were only guides accompanying clients around the area on motorcycles. These guides are former soldiers of the military forces of South Vietnam (and their family members) who could not get a legitimate job because of his association with the previous government. Some farms in the family worked in the region. The term Easy Rider enjoyed a decade later by a tourist in reference to the 1960 American film by the same name.
Original Easy Riders generally English because of the association with former soldiers of the United States and Australia. This ability gave them a working environment after years of enforced poverty. Most veterans have retired and passed the good name of the younger generations.
My guide, Ti Ti (which means "small" in Vietnamese) gave me an extensive tour that day I looked at the landscape from the back of his bike. I looked Ti Ti on other visits Dalat and visit the ancient time. The Easy Riders hang out at the Hotel de la Paix. If you're lucky, you will find an original Easy Rider, who can speak about old times and offer you a great tour. Easy Riders now show not only the places around Dalat, but goes with almost any place in all Vietnam.Travelers meet Vietnam in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) can catch a flight to Dalat, if you're pressed for time. The "real" traveler Touring "open" bus in the area of Pham Ngu Lao in District 1 and spend the day enjoying the extraordinary landscape where mountains of Dalat. "The Most of the Open Tour buses drop you at or near the Peace Hotel and you can spend an hour or 2 negotiate with EASY RIDER for their services. Take a cup of coffee or tea and spend some time to learn what happens in Dalat.
