Is it safe chain surge protectors?

Basically, my house is old and the limited number of outlets around the auditorium. Is it safe to garland a surge protector so I can get to my other devices through the room? There are 2 outlets my real bedroom and 1 of them Not sure. The other is not safe as a way to connect something to the production of electricity through my cable line.
