The teacher's voice is like a gentle hum murmur filled the room, he tickles the skin and thrives only in the right place. To be present as bright, loving, and the master of the soul is a rare opportunity. As we move from pose to pose, the sweat from his face, there is an inner smile as you wake up with gratitude and joy to the terror of the class of this type. This is not a regular yoga class, here is a community, we are loved, and feel at home. We are in the birthplace of yoga Ojai.
Having been to many festivals, workshops and meetings, some events are so deliciously good, very inspiring and refreshing. Maybe it's because the cradle is made city in the small town of Ojai, nestled in a beautiful valley lush and a second and half past one in the north of the concrete jungle of Los Angeles charged. It may be surprising where classes are held. A class in the geodesic dome reveals the acoustic properties of its unique geometry, where the musical voice of arcs singing teacher and a whisper jumps right into the ear. We put on a school bus, bringing back memories of school days, and the excitement we mad we move towards the meditation center impressive. Until then, I like your dog in the cobra, my gaze moves away watching the distant mountains that we surround and oak trees covering the hills lush, like millions of heads of broccoli. Ojai is filled with the energy of spiritual wisdom and radiant beauty, which is where the famous spiritual leader Krishnamurti has been created and has spent much of his time.
The nursery is organized by Lulubandhas – a yoga studio in Ojai. This is the idea of Kira and Eric Ryder is possible through the combined efforts of a community love of yogis. From the moment you arrive on site, there is a feeling of joy and companionship that is unlike anything I experienced. Every detail is designed to make this three-day yoga retreat exciting and accessible. Costume team recorded butterfly friendly volunteer for the program simple and colorful, every detail is an expression of care and love that went into this event. Participants can choose between some of the best teachers and most diversified each brings a unique perspective and years of experience and a deep respect for science and art of yoga. The biggest challenge I had to choose among teachers for the five proposed categories. Two classes of first and second class in the past.
Meditation takes place every morning. To 9 am, the first two and a half class hour begins. After a vegetarian meal is offered at the headquarters or participants can choose among all the wonderful restaurants in town. After lunch time to allow for digestion, contemplation, and possibly in mid-afternoon PAN, and the two following a class of half-hour begins. At night, inspiring dharma talks, kirtan, music and dance to entertain and bring all yogis together for a celebration of the spirit, mind and heart.
As difficult as it was out of the crib, I left with a deep sense of fulfillment and love. Rejuvenated and re-inspired, I can not wait for next year to come soon. Thank you Eric, Kira, Lulubanhdas and all who helped make this event masterly and happy.
