Brown Blue
When I was home, I had these blue contacts. I told all my eyes were naturally blue. I never take off until the night before going to bed. When I assumed the contacts to sleep, I felt empty and hollow. When I looked in the mirror I could not even myself look in his eyes. I thought it was beautiful when he was hiding behind the plastic colored. One morning when I wake has still not going, I had to run to school. I forgot my contacts and was at school with my own brown eyes. When I saw people look at me I realized what he had done. A guy I met approached me. He did not say a thing. He stayed watching. I looked up and said proudly: "My eyes are brown with green spots, and not blue.Â" I realized people werent watching the ugliness I saw my beautiful big brown eyes and me. Since that day I have never used a new lie. I took my eyes brown, and now I see the world, and me as they really are!
Now I am at Ivy Ridge and have found great strength and love in me. My problems were deeper than wanting blue eyes and does not accept my gift of brown eyes. Now I can look at the mirror and I see for myself. I learned everything is intended to be a certain way. I was born with pale skin, brown hair and brown eyes. That's part of what makes me Aurora. I learned to stop following the path of self-hatred and mask what I thought others wanted me to follow. Instead, I am traveling on my own path now. Im sure how I could probably sometimes negative or meet people who are trying to change, but I know the truth and beauty and talent that is me. I also see the beauty and talent that is in everyone. My eyes are brown, not blue.
