I really doubt that your baby will gain 5 pounds in one month! My son was 19 pounds, 3 ounces when she was 6 months. There are now 10 months and 22 pounds, 12 ounces. I do not know what your son is similar, but my son hates to be attached anywhere and not be bound pleased when she could be Cruising / Exploration. By "exercise" my child has the race part. Crawl, roll, cruising, standing, etc.
